Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, seeks an Underwriting Audit Supervisor to lead and optimize our underwriting audit program. You will oversee audit staff, ensure adherence to guidelines, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

The role partners with Compliance, Underwriting, Training, Legal, and Executive teams; you will develop annual plans, monitor metrics, and lead corrective actions to improve underwriting quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting, underwriting compliance, quality assurance, auditing, or related insurance experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Experience conducting underwriting file reviews and compliance assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Company's underwriting audit program.
• Assist in developing annual audit plans, priorities, and audit methodologies.
• Ensure audits are performed in accordance with departmental standards and established procedures.
• Manage workload distribution and quality control for audit personnel.
• Monitor departmental productivity, audit completion rates, and reporting timelines.
• Evaluate underwriting files for compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Identify risks from audit findings and ensure consistency in scoring and reporting.
• Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Present audit findings to Underwriting Leadership, Compliance Leadership, and Executive Management.
• Track remediation efforts and verify corrective actions.
