Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain mission‑driven back‑end systems. You will work on Python services, REST APIs, data validation with Pydantic, and database access via SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance with Active CI Polygraph and a strong background in backend engineering. You will containerize with Docker, deploy to OpenShift, optimize queries, mentor peers, review designs, and collaborate with

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance with Active CI Polygraph
• Strong experience developing backend services and REST APIs
• Experience developing and maintaining backend applications and services using Python
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL including modeling, SQL, migrations, indexing, and query optimization
• Understanding of OpenSearch data structures, indexing and querying
• Hands-on experience with Docker including writing Dockerfiles, building images, and troubleshooting containers
• Strong communication skills translating business needs into technical requirements

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain backend functionality within applications using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenSearch and PostgreSQL
• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs including request validation, error handling, and authentication/authorization integration
• Use Pydantic for data validation and SQLAlchemy for database access and ORM in Python services
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and migrations with performance and data integrity in mind
• Build and maintain Docker images and deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications in OpenShift
• Investigate and resolve production issues across UI, backend services, database, and deployment
• Work with customers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and estimate effort
• Participate in design reviews, write automated tests, and maintain documentation; mentor developers and collaborate with ops and security teams
