Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to support mission-critical applications for the Intelligence Community. The role is HYBRID (3 days on site/2 days remote) at Reston, Washington DC, or Annapolis Junction, with an active TS/SCI CI Polygraph requirement.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining backend services in Python and PostgreSQL, building REST APIs, and deploying containerized apps in Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software/systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenSearch.
• Develop and support REST APIs, including authentication and error handling.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including migrations.
• Deploy and support containerized apps in Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver reliable software.
