Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) seeks a TRIO Advisor to support eligible students and implement program initiatives. The role focuses on academic planning, career guidance, tutoring referrals, and workshops, aligning with grant requirements and college policies.

The advisor will conduct intake, provide advising and mentoring, and collaborate with TRIO staff while promoting equity and inclusion across campus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree is required; preferably in education, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Sufficient combination of education, work, and lived experience to mentor a diverse student population, including first-generation and underrepresented groups.
• Mission-driven and passionate about programs designed to identify and provide services for diverse populations.
• Experience with multi-format technology (Microsoft Office, student management systems, social media).

Responsabilidades

• Plan and provide services to eligible TRIO participants to help them achieve academic goals.
• Educate the college community about program goals and eligibility requirements.
• Recruit and serve participants per grant guidelines.
• Advise on course selection, degree requirements, transfers, and program procedures.
• Provide intake and individualized advising to meet participant needs.
• Coordinate group activities and workshops to clarify goals.
• Present orientation sessions and participate in early intervention strategies.
• Maintain participant records and reporting files; ensure compliance with policies.
