Job summary

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops is seeking a Trialing Specialist Technician to support Northbrook, IL site by conducting research-level yield trials with high precision and accuracy. The position is hybrid and full-time, beginning Feb 1 with an annual unpaid break for the off-season.

Responsibilities include planting, phenotyping, data collection, and equipment operation to generate high-quality data for product evaluation in corn, soybean, and wheat during the growing season.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in agriculture or related discipline or relevant experience.
• Ability to work in field or greenhouse conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plant, maintain, and harvest research-level yield trial plots for corn, soybean, and wheat.
• Operate and maintain agricultural machinery and research equipment.
• Record phenotyping observations and ensure data quality and timely collection.
• Communicate project status with team and supervisors.
• Support field layout, planting, phenotyping, and harvesting tasks as directed.
• Complete safety and company training requirements.
