Job summary

Syngenta Group is seeking a Trialing Specialist Technician to support our Northbrook, IL site in a hybrid role with a one-hour radius requirement from Evansville, IL. The position focuses on executing research‑level yield trials in corn, soybean, and wheat with high precision and safety.

A peak-season schedule includes critical growing periods and a three-month off-season break. You will operate advanced field equipment and work as part of a team to ensure high-quality data that enables

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in agriculture or relevant experience required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience operating agricultural machinery or research equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plant, plot maintenance, spraying, phenotyping, and harvesting of trial plots.
• Operate and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment (planters, drones, phenotyping gear, combines).
• Adhere to safety and company training requirements and ensure data quality and timeliness.
• Support tasks to assist Trialing Manager with field layout and harvest.
• Communicate project status and data quality with team and supervisors.
• Meet data quality standards and deadlines for corn, soybean, and wheat trials.
