Job summary

Syngenta is seeking a Trialing Specialist Technician to support our Highland, Illinois site. This role supports yield trials across Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky, with potential remote work. Optimal locations are Highland–Effingham area.

Responsibilities include executing research-level yield trials with high precision, operating agricultural machinery, and ensuring data quality for corn, soybean, and wheat trials during the growing season.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in agriculture or related discipline or relevant experience.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
Able to work in field or greenhouse in high or low temperatures; able to lift up to 50 pounds; able to work long hours during peak season.
Eligible to work in United States without sponsorship from Syngenta.

Responsibilities

Plant, plot maintenance, spraying, note taking (phenotyping), and harvesting research-level yield trial plots.
Operate and maintain agricultural machinery and/or research equipment (precision planters, drones, phenotyping equipment, research combines).
Follow safety- and stewardship-related company policies and complete required trainings.
Support tasks to achieve Trialing Manager's results (field layout, planting, phenotyping, harvest).
Communicate project status and data quality/timeliness to peers and supervisors.
Plant, spray, maintain, and harvest trials to meet data quality and deadlines.
