Job summary

LHH is seeking a Trial Paralegal for its Austin, TX or Plano, TX offices with a hybrid work schedule. You will support complex civil litigation from discovery through trial and work closely with attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes trial preparation, document management, and proactive case support across multiple platforms, including iManage, while handling significant travel for trials nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience within a law firm.
• Defense litigation experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel nationwide for trials.
• Comfortable learning new technology, systems, and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Partner closely with attorneys to proactively move litigation matters forward.
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and subpoenas.
• Support document review and analysis across various platforms.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files using iManage.
• Assist extensively with trial preparation, including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing subpoenas, preparing exhibits, and providing on-site support during trials.
• Maintain accurate billing entries and follow client billing guidelines.
• Assist attorneys and case teams with additional litigation needs as necessary.
