AMT Engineering in Towson, MD is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation team. The position starts in May 2027 after graduation and offers opportunities for growth and involvement in municipal/State DOT projects.

This hybrid role combines office and remote work, supporting data collection, alignment design, modeling, and transportation plan development while providing a path to professional growth within our ESOP-driven firm.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Engineering-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain in 6-12 months) required
• Internship or work experience preferred on Municipal/State/US DOT projects
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and Bentley OpenRoads/Open Roads preferred
• Knowledge of civil engineering design and surveying concepts preferred
• MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects involving data collection, existing condition and alternative analysis for engineering reports
• Development of horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-section and super-elevation design, roadway modeling, transportation plans, quantity takeoffs
