AMT Engineering is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer in our Richmond, VA office after graduation in May 2027. This role offers a pathway to grow within a Transportation team of design professionals and exposure to multiple AMT offices.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program is required or pursued.
• Engineering-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months preferred.
• Internship or prior work with municipal/state projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects including data collection, condition assessments, and analyses.
• Develop horizontal/vertical alignments, cross sections, and roadway design support.
• Create stormwater, right-of-way, and traffic-related plans; support erosion control drawings.
