AMT, officially A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc., is seeking a Transportation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join the transportation team in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The position offers a competitive salary, ESOP ownership, and a hybrid work schedule with up to 2 days from home each week, located in Towson, MD or nearby AMT offices. Selected candidate(s) may work from our Towson, MD; Rockville, MD; Mechanicsburg, PA; or Herndon, VA office locations and

Qualifikationen

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation.
• Engineering-in-Training (EIT/FE) preferred.
• Experience with Microstation Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.

Aufgaben

• Support a variety of projects involving data collection, existing conditions and alternative analysis evaluation for engineering reports.
• Development of horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Performing cross section and superelevation design, roadside barrier design, ADA curb ramp design, roadway modeling.
• Providing design support for erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, right-of-way plans, utility relocation plans, permit application drawings, and traffic related plans.
