Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer – Project Manager in Boston, MA to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex roadway projects. The role blends technical expertise with leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff across municipal and state projects.

The position requires a PE license and 10+ years in transportation engineering, with a hybrid work arrangement offering in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage multiple transportation design projects for municipal and state clients.
• Oversee all phases of project delivery—from planning through construction.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Coordinate internal teams and staff workload planning.
• Support business development through proposals and client strategy.
• Provide technical expertise in roadway and highway design; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform QA/QC reviews; identify risks and resolve challenges.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams; mentor junior engineers and PMs.
• Serve as primary contact for DOT agencies and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, updates; build client relationships.
