Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill in New Haven, CT seeks a Transportation Design Engineer – Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of major roadway projects for municipal and state clients in Connecticut.

As a technical lead and project manager, you will guide multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and DOT agencies, manage scopes and budgets, mentor staff, and help win new work in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Roadway/highway design experience required.
• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple transportation design projects, focusing on highways and roadways for municipal and state clients.
• Oversee all phases of project delivery—from planning and design through construction.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources.
