Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator to support projects across the United States.

The role involves reviewing design documents, developing work breakdown structures, take-offs, and collaborating with contracts staff to prepare statements of work for subcontractors and vendors. The position is hybrid, open to Jacobs’ Western region offices, with a base salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 and 2 days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Progressive cost estimating experience in transportation projects.
• Proficient use of MS Office, HCSS HeavyBid and BlueBeam.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
• At least 1–5 years of estimating and construction experience related to heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates for transportation/transit projects.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.
