Job summary

PG&E in Fresno seeks an experienced transmission planning engineer to support generation interconnection studies and CAISO coordination. You will conduct power flow and transient stability analyses, develop basecase assumptions, and ensure adherence to NERC/WECC planning standards.

The role blends technical leadership with collaborative engagement across teams to sustain safe, reliable electric service. This position offers on-site/hybrid work within PG&E territory and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related (US or equivalent)
3 years of experience in electrical engineering, planning and/or operations

Responsibilities

Plan, develop and recommend transmission plans to CAISO for safe, reliable operation.
Participate in CAISO studies and perform power flow and transient stability analyses to meet compliance requirements.
Support generation interconnection study deliverables and coordinate schedules with CAISO and Interconnection Customers.
Develop basecase assumptions and transmission models for generation projects.
Mentor junior engineers and represent PG&E in internal/external meetings.
