Sargent & Lundy seeks a transmission line engineer to design high-voltage lines (69kV–765kV) and prepare construction sketches for both overhead and underground networks. The role involves structural analysis of poles, foundations, and conductor studies, with cost estimates and procurement specs.

Hybrid work arrangement (three days in office, two remote) and relocation package are available based on location. Strong software proficiency (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, ArcGIS) is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with transmission line design and software such as PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, ArcGIS.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines from 69kV to 765kV.
• Prepare construction sketches for overhead/underground networks.
• Perform structural analysis of poles, lattices, frames and guyed structures.
• Design foundations and conductors studies.
• Develop cost estimates and procurement specifications.
• Model lines in PLS-CADD and calculate sag/ROW requirements.
• Review vendor submittals.
• Specify transmission and distribution components.
