Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to design high-voltage transmission lines (69kV–765kV) and perform structural, foundation, and conductor studies. You will model lines in PLS-CADD, assess ROW needs, sag calculations, and develop plans and profiles.

The role requires ABET accreditation and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong MS Office skills and excellent communication. Hybrid schedule: in-office 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 3+ years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Perform structural analysis and design of poles and structures.
• Perform foundation designs for transmission lines.
• Conduct conductor selection studies, shielding and grounding.
• Develop cost estimates, schedules and procurement specifications.
• Model transmission lines in PLS-CADD and review vendor submittals.
