Job summary

Franklin County Auditor’s Office is hiring a Transfer & Conveyance Representative to join the Real Estate team. Hybrid eligible, full-time, starting compensation of $52,790.40.

The role involves processing deeds, conducting data entry, handling payments, and assisting the public with real estate transfers. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree with 1+ year of related experience; notary public preferred and a valid Ohio driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, plus 1+ year related experience or equivalent training.
• Notary public preferred; valid Ohio driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Process deeds and legal instruments; perform data entry of conveyances using internal systems; verify ownership, legal descriptions, parcel numbers, and mailing addresses; calculate conveyance fees and determine exemption status; review documents for ORC compliance.
• Provide information to public, title companies, attorneys, and taxpayers; assist walk-in, phone, and email inquiries about real estate transfers.
• Accept payments; balance cash receipts; track conveyance numbers, fees, and exemptions; maintain financial records; scan and index forms.
• Receive and organize mail; deliver documents to Recorder’s Office; assist with filing, imaging, and related clerical duties.
• Perform general office tasks (orders, supplies, stamps, inventory).
