The Franklin County Auditor's Office is dedicated to serving the community by ensuring fairness and accuracy in weight and measures across the county. Our mission is to protect and empower consumers, making sure they receive what they rightfully pay for at gas pumps and retail store scanners. Engages in direct outreach through both initiated and invited contact with local community groups, government entities, stakeholder individuals and groups.
Attends or presents at meetings or events of various sizes within the community on behalf of, or in conjunction with, the Auditor.
Arranges for recognition of citizens or groups who support the work of the office.
Creates documentation related to community outreach activities.
Coordinates presence of the Franklin County Auditor's Office at appropriate fairs, festivals and other community events.
Learns and reviews existing function of the Auditor's Office to be better able to support community outreach and constituent casework through developing effective education strategies.
Supports the public facing work of other Franklin County Auditor's Office departments through cross training and assistance with events inside and outside of the office.
We encourage individuals with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience that reflects requisite knowledge and skills; one (1) or more years of related work and/or structured volunteer experience directly related to community outreach, communications, organizing, education/training; or a combination of training, education or experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must possess and maintain valid Ohio driver's license and have an acceptable driving record; must comply with the FCAO Driving Policy.
