Job summary

The Traffic Management Center (TMC) Supervisor at VHB plays a key role supporting statewide traffic management, incident response, ITS, and real-time transportation operations across Pennsylvania's TMC network.

This role suits analytical, detail-oriented professionals with strong collaboration skills who can operate in a fast-paced environment, develop procedures, and lead training for STMC, RTMCs, and DTMCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., transportation, public safety, or engineering support).
• 3+ years of experience in traffic operations, ITS operations, incident management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support development and QA of statewide TMC procedures and SOPs.
• Monitor statewide traffic operations to maintain a consistent common operating picture.
• Analyze congestion, incidents, and traffic data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop recommendations, forecasts, and action plans for traffic operation improvements.
• Coordinate incident response activities with agencies and stakeholders.
