Job summary

Crypto.com in Chicago is seeking an Application Support Engineer to ensure availability, stability, and performance of production and demo trading environments. This hands-on role requires ownership of operational excellence in a fast-paced trading setting.

You will partner with internal teams and external clients to resolve incidents, monitor systems, and optimize operations. The position supports night/weekend coverage and a hybrid work arrangement in a regulated trading environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in production software applications, technical platforms, or trading support.
• Experience with trading platforms, exchanges, or real-time transactional environments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with APIs, data feeds, and log/metrics investigation tools for troubleshooting integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills in an SLA-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to occasionally work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Partner Support: Serve as a technical point of contact for partner channels and respond to incidents.
• Production Support & Monitoring: Manage Production and Demo trading environments, ensuring availability and stability.
• Daily Operations: Run end-of-day/weekend procedures and contract scheduling tasks.
• Incident & Problem Management: Triage, troubleshoot, and drive incident resolution and post-incident reviews.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor performance and apply tuning recommendations to maintain operations.
• Change & Release Support: Assist with upgrades, deployments, and release validation with Dev/QA teams.
• Shift Handover & Documentation: Maintain runbooks and ensure clear status communication.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Develop tools/scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and partners to resolve issues.
