Job summary

Nelnet seeks a Data Solutions leader to own intake, triage, and coordination for analytics projects. You will lead a small team of analysts, translating business requests into actionable work items and ensuring clear scope and milestones.

You will manage the team’s Jira board, facilitate stand-ups and planning sessions, and maintain roadmaps with proactive stakeholder updates. A strong background in data warehousing, SQL, and PM practices is required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in technical program management, delivery management, or technical business analysis supporting data/analytics/software teams.

Responsibilities

• Owns team intake and ensures single entry for requests and questions.
• Leads a small team of analysts: assigns work, coaches, and conducts reviews.
• Translates business requests into well-scoped work items; collaborates on technical scoping.
• Maintains team JIRA board and ensures accurate representation of active work.
• Facilitates daily stand-up and planning/retrospective sessions.
• Maintains roadmap and delivery calendar aligned to dates.
• Acts as primary communication channel to stakeholders with proactive updates.
• Drives cross-group sessions and captures decisions/actions.
• Re-sequences in-flight work to meet priorities and escalations.
• Owns documentation standards (Confluence, runbooks, data dictionaries).
• Tracks delivery metrics and identifies process improvements.
