Job summary

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test to protect market integrity at massive scale. You will build automated testing infra for systems processing 1+ billion order events daily, supporting regulatory compliance and client protection.

You will design test suites, collaborate with engineers and data scientists, and monitor quality trends, with a hybrid work model (3 days in office / 2 days remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding skills (Python).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).
• Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with version control systems (git).

Responsibilities

• Build scalable testing frameworks that enable our team to deploy confidently and maintain high system reliability.
• Design comprehensive test suites covering unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to embed quality practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide metrics and reporting on test coverage, quality trends, and system reliability.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for test infrastructure.
• Develop data quality checks to ensure integrity across pipelines and databases.
• Investigate and triage test failures with development teams to implement fixes.
