Job summary

NCCI is seeking a Test Auditor to join our Western U.S. inspections team in a hybrid, home-based role. You will review insurer classifications, verify premium calculations, and ensure regulatory compliance across assigned territories.

Travel up to 30% may be required within the U.S. Responsibilities include audits, report preparation, and collaboration with insureds and carriers to resolve discrepancies. Must have a bachelors degree or 6+ years of related experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or 6+ years relevant work experience.
• 3+ years workers compensation insurance experience.
• Experience conducting field premium audits, classification inspections, audit reviews, underwriting, or related tasks.
• Knowledge of workersccmpensation, Basic Manual, Scopes Manual, and Classification system.
• Strong analytical, interpretive, and decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize test audit assignments and schedules, physical and virtual audits, and inspections with the insured.
• Conduct pre-audit research to determine scope, review records, and analyze documents provided by the carrier.
• Coordinate with insured and external contacts to facilitate audits.
• Issue appointment letters and update information for audits/inspections.
• Travel to insured locations to conduct on-site audits and inspections.
• Prepare formal written test audit reports analyzing operations, classification, payroll, and premium calculations vs insurer results to identify discrepancies.
• Respond to questions or disputes regarding test audit results.
