Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's Strategic Comp unit seeks a Technical Product Manager at our home office in Cincinnati, OH to support underwriting applications. The role will partner with enterprise product implementation teams to articulate our vision and drive our division's underwriting strategy.

You will own the product roadmap, gather requirements, define strategy, oversee the lifecycle, and ensure usability and reliability. On-site four days a week with one remote day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 3+ years in technical product management with Lean certifications preferred; UX certification helpful.
• Broad understanding of product development and XP framework; focus on customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains the product roadmap for underwriting systems.
• Gathers and prioritizes product requirements; writes technical specs and user stories.
• Defines product strategy aligned with business goals and technical innovation.
• Manages production support and coordinates cross-functional incident resolution.
• Maps workflows to optimize underwriting processes; considers AI integration where suitable.
• Documents and manages multiple projects with clear progress visibility.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and integration approaches for performance and security.
• Oversees the product lifecycle from concept to launch with engineering collaboration.
• Communicates product vision and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
• Advocates for end-user usability and conducts user testing to guide decisions.
• Collaborates with engineering to resolve technical challenges and improves product performance.
• Fosters cross-functional teamwork to ensure successful launches.
