Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Technical Business Analyst I or II in Minneapolis, MN in a hybrid role. You will coordinate, plan, and implement strategic IT initiatives across operating or business service groups, handling end-to-end business analysis for large projects.

The position offers two levels with compensation based on experience and geographic location, and requires strong collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Business/related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years IT and business/industry experience, with 3 years in business analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and process modeling/diagram tools.
• Ability to clarify complex and ambiguous business needs, prioritize tasks, and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for large enterprise initiatives.
• Manage business relationships with operating groups and counterparties.
• Create business requirements and test plans for initiatives.
• Partner with IT owners to develop business cases and project charters.
• Identify key issues and assist the project manager with mitigation and resolution.
• Transition new solution capabilities to application owners and support teams.
• Engage cross-functional teams to ensure SME access and promote portfolio management.
