Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking an Associate Technical Analyst to support the analysis, documentation, and delivery of technical solutions. You will gather and translate business needs into technical specifications under guidance, contributing to projects while developing knowledge of processes and systems.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence in Madison, WI, with relocation support considered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of business analysis concepts and documentation techniques.
Ability to gather, organize, and analyze information using established processes.
Strong attention to detail with clear requirement documentation.
Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
Ability to learn new technologies and business processes quickly.
Basic understanding of SDLC, testing, and systems analysis concepts.
Experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI for data analysis.

Responsibilities

Gather, document, and organize business and technical requirements throughout the application lifecycle.
Create and maintain requirements docs, process flows, user stories, and functional specs.
Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to clarify objectives.
Participate in design reviews, testing, and project delivery processes.
Validate requirements and ensure solutions meet documented business needs.
Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support effort estimation and project planning with analysis.
Communicate updates and results clearly to team and stakeholders.
Adhere to standards and architectural guidelines.
Develop knowledge of operations, systems, and technologies.
May take on additional assignments based on skills.
