Job summary
Zohorecruit in Richmond, VA is seeking a Technical Lead (.Net/SQL) to guide microservices modernization. You will lead design discussions, perform hands-on SQL and .NET development, decompose monolithic databases into microservice-aligned schemas, and collaborate with PM/Scrum Master and SME.
This role requires 10+ years IT, 7+ years SQL Server, 5+ years .NET/C#, and 3+ years of technical leadership. Hybrid schedule with onsite 1 day/week; local candidates only.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead collaborative technical design discussions for microservices, database restructuring, and API integration.
- Provide hands-on SQL engineering including schema modernization, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Support .NET API development and data access patterns.
- Guide senior engineers with strong technical leadership.
- Collaborate with PM/Scrum Master to support project execution and decisions.
- Build migration logic and data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Ensure SQL modernization aligns with microservice boundaries and audit timelines.
- Participate in code reviews and documentation reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive delivery.
- Adhere to PCI and data-retention security requirements.
