Job summary

Reece USA is seeking a Tax Manager to support indirect tax and compliance, focusing on sales and use tax across multiple states, with property tax and licensing support. The role partners with Finance, IT, Legal and external providers to ensure accurate filings and data integrity.

The position operates on a 4/1 hybrid schedule: four days in the office and one day remote, with opportunities to improve controls and processes while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• 5+ years of indirect tax experience; multi-state sales and use tax preferred.
• Exposure to property tax and business licensing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns with supporting data.
• Maintain tax configurations and rules in ERP and sales tax systems, including Avalara.
• Research product taxability and exemption requirements; manage exemption certificates.
• Assist with tax accruals, reconciliations, audits, notices, and disclosures.
• Support property tax compliance, renditions, and landlord reconciliations.
• Coordinate business license filings and annual corporate reporting with Legal/Finance.
• Maintain organized tax records; identify opportunities to improve controls and workflows.
