Job summary

Withum is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax engagements from our San Diego or San Francisco offices. You will supervise staff, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to growth within a collaborative CPA firm.

You will review returns, draft memos on complex tax issues, identify planning opportunities, and oversee multi-engagement tax projects across various industries. Strong leadership and client service are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license and JD or MS in Taxation required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a public accounting tax role, leading engagements.

Responsibilities

• Review individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns prepared by staff and seniors.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
