Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Quality Software Engineer Lead (VP) in Tampa, FL on a hybrid schedule. You will guide automation strategy, build scalable tests, and mentor engineers across the SDLC for a complex Margin Calculations and Reporting platform within Prime Finance Services.

The role blends hands-on engineering with leadership, collaborating with product, risk, and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable software in a global environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Testing experience required, with hands-on automation
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Java across legacy and modern JDKs
• Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and testing tools
• Knowledge of SDLC methodology and governance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation frameworks that are modular, scalable, and aligned with engineering standards.
• Develop BDD-aligned automated tests using Cucumber and standardized frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable feedback.
• Analyze test failures and improve signal quality for actionable diagnostics.
• Drive test data, environment readiness, and observability for reliable automation.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and analysts to shape requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Champion quality practices aligned with risk controls and regulatory expectations.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to QA engineers on the team.
