Job summary

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer for a DoD Navy program in the San Diego area. The role is hybrid (60% onsite/40% remote) and contingent on contract award.

The ideal candidate will plan and execute cyber scans, identify vulnerabilities, and work with engineers to remediate issues. Required are an active Secret clearance, DoD 8140 IAT II, and 8+ years in cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8140.03 IAT II certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and eight+ years in cybersecurity, or equivalent.
• Experience developing Security Assessment Plans (SAPs), POA&Ms and SARs.
• Experience conducting Nessus and ACAS scans.
• Experience with DISA STIG and SRGs on multiple technologies.
• Experience with SCAP and evaluating STIGs; knowledge of DoW cybersecurity policies.
• Experience using Jira to track work items; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute system scans to meet client requirements; analyze results and report vulnerabilities and risk posture with remediation recommendations.
• Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to remediate vulnerabilities and implement mitigations; update the system POA&M.
• Experience with VRAM is preferred; handle BCRs and cybersecurity data calls as needed.
• Provide A&A support and act as cybersecurity expert throughout the lifecycle to achieve RMF Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Develop SAPs, assess results, and compile security assessment reports.
