Qualifications

• BS in computer science, engineering, or other technical discipline; higher ed experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer/Manage Microsoft, Linux, VDI, Backup, Cloud and Systems Infrastructure, with continuous improvement.
• Administer/Manage Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure including deployment, performance monitoring, patching.
• Administer/Manage and maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID identity platforms.
• Administer/Manage Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Administer/Manage Linux-based systems supporting HPC and research initiatives.
• Monitor and improve the lifecycle of services from inception to operation and refinement.
• Provide hands-on development and oversight of automation tools used by IT infrastructure.
• Assist in hardware implementations and ensure standards are followed.
• Support print management infrastructure (PaperCut).
• Direct automation and orchestration of workloads across on-prem and cloud providers.
• Collaborate to develop secure system automation and monitoring systems.
• Assist in Incident response and information security investigations.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for troubleshooting of systems infrastructure and performance issues.
• Research and recommend changes for future system growth using standard monitoring tools.
