New York Institute of Technology invites applications for a Systems Engineer located at the Old Westbury campus. The role offers hybrid/remote work with flexibility to work from NYC or Old Westbury offices in line with NYIT policy.

The Systems Engineer will partner with IT infrastructure and Information Security teams to design, configure, and maintain enterprise systems, supporting faculty, staff, students, and administration while upholding security and availability of critical services.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science, engineering, or other technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ systems engineering experience with enterprise systems and cloud services.
• Unix/Linux and Windows on-prem and cloud administration experience.
• Experience with HPC and Linux administration.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Administer/Manage Microsoft, Linux, VDI, Backup, Cloud and Systems Infrastructure.
• Administer/Manage Hyper-V virtualization, patching, lifecycle management.
• Administer/Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Administer/Manage Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint.
• Monitor and improve HPC and research computing infrastructure.
• Develop/runbooks and automation for IT infrastructure.
