Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Systems Engineer II who will participate in cross-functional teams, translate requirements, and help develop display products. The role blends on-site collaboration with remote work, following the schedule set by the manager.

The position emphasizes MBSE usage, agile practices, and lifecycle verification, with opportunities to grow technical skills and contribute to a global aerospace program.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in at least one phase of the systems/software engineering development lifecycle process, including requirements analysis, system design, development, integration, verification and validation
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Responsibilities

• Participate on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile software development techniques
• Work closely with engineering, program management, and other functional teams to support key project executions.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of display products and associated processes.
• Assist in the development and flow-down of system requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Support requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification processes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, and technical discussions to ensure quality and compliance.
• Utilize tools such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to analyze and develop system requirements.
• Continuously learn and apply new skills to enhance engineering practices and processes.
