Job summary

PRI Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer in Hartford, CT for a contract-to-hire role. The position requires hands-on IT infrastructure experience spanning servers, networks, storage, cloud, and automation.

You will work in a hybrid environment (Azure and on-prem) with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, earning $48-$50 per hour. The role emphasizes performance monitoring, incident response, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure in a complex, high-availability environment.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud, and apps).
Monitor performance and capacity using enterprise tools; identify and resolve issues before impacting operations.
Respond to incidents and troubleshoot across server, network, storage, and application layers.
Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support for critical incidents.
Assist deployment, configuration, and maintenance across Azure and on-prem environments.
Automate tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code to improve efficiency and reliability.
Assist in backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity testing.
Analyze logs and metrics to identify root causes and long-term improvements.
Contribute to operational standards, policies, and best practices.
Support IAM including provisioning, authentication, and security controls.
