Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to join a UK ATM modernization program from Gaithersburg, MD. The role focuses on transforming a flight data processing system with MBSE practices, customer collaboration, and rigorous requirements engineering.

The candidate will act as a key technical interface, translating operations into detailed system and software requirements while collaborating with software, integration, and test teams to deliver a robust, high-availability solution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Systems Eng, EE, CS, or related).
• 4+ years of systems engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience drafting system/subsystem requirements and SSS/SRS docs.
• Experience in formal SE lifecycle and DOORS usage.
• Familiarity with MBSE and modeling tools.
• Ability to translate user stories and customer needs into requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading or participating in Requirements Reviews and customer meetings.
• Ability to collaborate with software, integration, test teams, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support mission-critical ATM modernization program as Systems Engineer.
• Provide technical leadership in SE work products.
• Modernize air traffic control data exchange and processing.
• Interface between internal teams and external customers.
• Lead Requirements Reviews and customer discussions.
• Translate high-level needs into clear system and software requirements.
• Develop SSS and SRS documentation.
• Collaborate across software, integration, and test teams.
