Job summary

BIC World in Norwalk, Connecticut is seeking a Supply Planner to develop and execute supply plans for the Stationery category, balancing service level, inventory health, and cost. You’ll manage finished goods and bulk items, based on demand signals and capacity constraints.

Collaborating with NAM Commercial, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Excellence, and Logistics, you’ll drive weekly planning cycles, track KPIs like OTIF and SLOB, and coordinate with factories and co-packing partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, planning, operations, or related role.
• Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes including demand planning, inventory management, and production planning.
• Experience with planning systems such as Blue Yonder; ERP (e.g., JD Edwards) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short- and medium-term supply plans for finished goods and bulk items.
• Analyze demand signals, inventory levels, and supply constraints to identify risks and mitigation actions.
• Execute weekly planning cycles ensuring plans align with demand, capacity, and inventory positions.
• Manage planning parameters (safety stock, lead times) to optimize outputs and inventory health.
• Partner with NAM Commercial and Demand Planning to align short- and long-term plans; communicate risks and opportunities; support new product setups in planning systems (JDE, Blue Yonder).
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing and co-packing facilities to balance capacity and ensure timely production and shipment.
• Track inbound shipments, identify delays, and drive follow-ups to minimize service disruption.
• Monitor KPIs (OTIF, service level, PNA, forecast accuracy, inventory, SLOB, days of coverage) and perform root-cause analyses for improvements.
