Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is offering a Summer 2027 Internship for a Talent Acquisition & Development Intern. The role provides rotational exposure across TA and Development teams, with a hybrid work model near a Delaware office location.

The intern will support recruitment efforts, candidate engagement, learning-resource creation, and LMS admin tasks while gaining insight into the employee lifecycle. Applicants should be pursuing relevant degrees and seek hands-on HR experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in HR, business, communications, psychology, or related field.
• Interest in talent acquisition, recruiting, employee learning, instructional design, or organizational development.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiarity with LMS, recruiting systems, or project-management practices is a plus.
• Prior customer service, administrative, campus leadership, office, training, or communications experience is preferred.
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the summer internship.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities including job postings, application review, candidate communications, interview coordination, and pre-employment processes.
• Assist internship, early-career, and apprenticeship recruiting initiatives.
• Research colleges and organizations to identify potential talent sources.
• Contribute to projects to strengthen talent pipelines and candidate experience.
• Assist LMS administration, course setup, learner enrollments, and training records.
