Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Project Engineering Manager for Substation projects. Lead multi-discipline teams, oversee design quality, budget, and schedules, and support client interactions and business development in a hybrid work setting across multiple U.S.

locations including Orlando, FL. The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years of related experience, and strong knowledge of substation design and lifecycle; PE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Minimum 5 years related work experience
• Experience managing EPC or design services substation projects in the United States
• Strong knowledge of substation design and lifecycle
• Excellent client communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects
• Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations
• Manage data and perform complex engineering calculations
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements
• Lead larger production teams and coordinate multi-discipline activities
• Identify client interests and drivers, communicate concerns, and support business development
