Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Substation Project Manager in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to lead power delivery projects within the Power & Energy Management Team. The role emphasizes client relationships, budgeting, scheduling, and cross‑disciplinary coordination.

Hybrid work requires 3+ days onsite per week with the client, plus adherence to WSP QA/QC processes and safety standards as you drive project success and long‑term partnership growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience.
• 5+ years of substation design experience.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Strong attention to detail and technical writing skills.
• Highly proficient understanding of project delivery process in Power Delivery/Utility industry and project management experience.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to interact with leadership, subcontractors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, administrative, management, and analytic support for projects.
• Coordinate and communicate with all levels of management and disciplines throughout the project life cycle to support project cost and schedule objectives.
• Oversee project budgets, review costs, and ensure adherence to planned budgets.
• Document project deliverables, including correspondence, project changes, and project files, ensuring thorough record-keeping.
• Be the face of WSP for the client and develop strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and retention.
• Includes client in-office presence 3+ days a week and periodic site visits.
• Adhere to proven processes and develop new processes to standardize procedures.
• Adhere to safety regulations and enforce project safety standards.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders and report on progress.
• Provide inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and offer trusted advisory services.
