Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 7+ years of post-education drafting and design support experience
• Knowledge of drafting and design principles, practices, processes and techniques
• Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements
• Ability to perform technical computations using geometry and math concepts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team to meet objectives
• Analytical mindset to evaluate situations and decisions
• Proficiency with technical writing, software, and spreadsheets
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve engineering problems

• Ability to adjust schedules for project needs; some travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and CADD support for projects across planning, transportation, infrastructure, and technical services lines
• Generate accurate design deliverables including reports, memos, manuals, plans, profiles, and material lists
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve design details and ensure high-precision drawings
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project phases and checks
• Apply analytical and software tools to solve moderately complex engineering issues
• Engage with clients and contractors for project drafting support as needed
• Adhere to company safety policies and conduct rules
