You will own complex substation structural designs up to 765kV, develop calculations, and coordinate with engineers, fabrication teams, and project leadership to ensure safe, manufacturable outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Structural background, 5+ years of structural steel design experience, and proficiency with industry tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years structural steel design experience.
• Experience in industrial, utility, or heavy steel environments.
• Knowledge of steel design and load analysis.
• Experience with structural calculations and FEA tools.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own complex substation structural designs up to 765kV.
• Develop detailed calculations and connection designs for safety and performance.
• Collaborate with engineers, fabrication teams, and project leadership to align design with execution.
• Review drawings, resolve challenges, and optimize for manufacturability.
• Mentor junior staff and support QA/QC through the project lifecycle.
