Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Automation Commissioning Junior Engineer to support testing, integration, and commissioning of substation automation systems. You will gain hands-on field experience, working with engineers, project teams, and customers to meet project requirements and safety standards.

The role offers exposure to high-voltage energy systems, renewable integration, and advanced automation technologies, with significant field travel and on-site commissioning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
0–2 years of relevant experience; internships considered.
Willingness to travel up to 80% for on-site commissioning.
Basic understanding of electric power systems.

Responsibilities

Support FAT and SAT testing activities.
Assist with testing and commissioning of substation automation systems.
Perform signal checks and verification for system validation.
Support integration and configuration of automation systems.
Develop knowledge of IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus protocols.
Assist with project documentation and reporting.
