Job summary

The Chicago School in Anaheim offers a Student Support Counselor position that acts as the primary access point for students, providing advising, registration support, and progress monitoring. The role blends on-campus and remote services to support retention and student success.

You will respond to student inquiries, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with Academic, Financial Aid, Admissions, and the Registrar to ensure timely information and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in student-facing positions and/or higher education preferred.
• Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support new and continuing students at various stages of their education.
• Administration of advising services including registration, evaluation of program requirements, incomplete grades, student class activity, Satisfactory Academic Progress, and degree progress.
• Call/meet with each student throughout the term to ensure successful coursework and provide support.
• Respond to calls and emails from students with guidance on coursework, policies, and support.
• Ensure student records are accurate and up-to-date with timely processing of academic forms (Add/Drop, Withdrawal, Leave of Absence).
• Advising at-risk students to support completion of courses and programs.
