Job summary

Nintendo of America in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced quality engineering professional to support development of product documentation, packaging, and QA processes. The role focuses on ensuring products meet specifications through testing and corrective actions, with emphasis on packaging integrity and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a BS in mechanical/manufacturing engineering and 3+ years in related roles, plus experience with ISO 9001 and ISTA protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• ISO-9001 environment experience preferred.
• Experience from product specification through to production.
• Environmental, vibration, compression and impact testing knowledge preferred.
• Packaging materials testing protocols knowledge (Nintendo ISTA).
• Electronics testing experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• ASQ CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development of documents defining product, product assembly and packaging for retail finished goods.
• Review partner quality management system capability for safety, compliance and quality risks.
• Provide technical or mechanical support to internal and external teams to ensure products meet specs.
• Conduct production part performance evaluations and propose corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis and design cost-effective defect reductions.
• Design, test and implement tools to support production operations.
• Support NOA corrective action initiatives and design validation input for new components/materials.
• Tailor designs based on fabrication processes, equipment, and materials to balance quality, speed and cost.
