Nintendo of America in Redmond, WA is seeking a senior mechanical/manufacturing engineer to ensure product quality and manufacturability across the lifecycle. You will provide engineering support, conduct tests, and drive continuous improvement in production processes.

The role requires 6+ years of related experience, expertise in environmental and packaging testing, SolidWorks, and Agile PLM, with a strong data analysis capability. Travel may be required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related engineering experience.
• Knowledge of environmental, vibration, compression and impact testing methodologies.
• Experience in high-volume automated and manual production environments (Familiarity with MES).
• In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and testing protocols (ISTA).
• Competency in statistical analysis and process control tools.
• Fluency in SolidWorks and Agile PLM.
• Advanced data analysis skills in Microsoft Excel.
• ASQ CQE certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides technical or mechanical engineering support to internal and external teams to ensure products are manufactured/packaged per specifications.
• Conducts production part performance evaluations following internal and industrial test standards; provides engineering solutions based on results.
• Provides on-site support for production/packaging teams and quality control groups.
• Oversees creation of part specifications and packaging/production specifications.
• Performs root cause analysis in response to nonconformance; designs corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Leads product and process-related continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives; may deploy SPC and capability analysis.
• Leads cross-departmental workflow and documentation for new processes and expanded business unit development (Quality Assurance activities).
• Designs, tests and implements tools to support production operations.
• Provides technical guidance and training for junior Manufacturing Engineering staff.
