Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) for our Kansas City office. The role involves working on diverse structural projects, using CAD/BIM tools, and participating in both new designs and investigations.

The successful candidate will gain experience across materials and building types, with opportunities for field work, client interaction, and professional development in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work in the Kansas City area; relocation reimbursement may be provided.
• Has passed the FE Examination.
• Desirable: Master's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Knowledge of building and material design codes is a plus.
• Experience with Revit, RAM, SAP, ETABS or RISA is beneficial.
• 0-2 years’ experience and GPA 3.5+ are favorable.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and CAD/BIM modeling for projects.
• Prepare details and calculations for project components and systems.
• Support construction administration tasks and site visits.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines and review shop drawings.
• Learn codes and jurisdictional requirements and apply them accordingly.
• Provide field observation during construction and write reports.
