Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Franklin or Nashville office on a hybrid schedule. You will design vehicular and pedestrian bridges, perform basic analyses, develop loads, and prepare calculations under supervision of a Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis, EI or ability to obtain, and 0–2+ years of design experience, with MicroStation experience being a plus. TDOT exposure is a benefit.

• EI or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic analysis of project elements
• Performing load development and designing calculations of project elements and checking work
• Preparing organized structural calculations
• Designing and drafting structural elements and details
• Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
• Performing tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned
• Working independently under the guidance of a Project Manager
