Job summary

Benesch is hiring a Structural Designer for our Franklin or Nashville office. You will design bridges and related structures, with a hybrid work schedule, contributing to projects from basic analysis to detailed design.

The role supports engineers and project managers, offering opportunities to grow technical skills, manage tasks, and develop under experienced professionals in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline.
• EI or ability to obtain.
• 0 to 2+ years of structural design experience.
• Excellent communication and client relation skills.
• Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing MicroStation.
• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
• Ability to perform complex analysis and design.
• Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic analysis of project elements.
• Performing load development and designing calculations of project elements and checking work.
• Preparing organized structural calculations.
• Designing and drafting structural elements and details.
• Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.

Structural Designer

Benesch is hiring a Structural Designer to join our Franklin or Nashville office. As a Structural Designer, you will have the opportunity to design various types of vehicular and pedestrian bridges - from simple to complex bridges.

Location

This position will work out of our Franklin or Nashville office on a hybrid work schedule.

The Impact You Will Have
